Multi Peril

Our Options

At Midwest AgriCredit  Co. we provide many services for your risk management needs.  Multi peril insurance is your first form of protection.  The program offers multiple insurance choices based upon your operational needs.  Policies can be constructed based upon yield or revenue risk at the individual or county based level.  MAC can help you select different endorsements that may pertain to your operation such as Beginning Farmers and Ranchers (BFR), Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO), Yield Exclusion (YE), and Trend Adjustment (TA).

Individual Based Plans

Revenue Protection (RP)

Provides protection for loss of production and/or decline in price. The final guarantee is based on the "Higher of Projected Price or Harvest Price"

Revenue Protection with Harvest Price Exclusion (RP-HPE)

Provides protection for loss of revenue and/or production. All other coverage and provisions are similar to RP and use the Projected Price to determine the revenue guarantee and the Harvest Price to determine the revenue to count.

Yield Protection (YP)

Provides protection against a loss of production based upon the insured's history. The value of the lost production is determined using a Projected Price that is based upon a commodity exchange.

Actual Production History (APH)

Provides protection against loss of production based on the insured's yield history. The value of the lost production is determined using a price established by RMA.

County Based Plans

Area Yield Protection (AYP)

Covers against loss of yield due to a county level production loss.

Area Revenue Protection W/ Harvest Price Exclusion (ARP-HPE)

Covers against loss of revenue due to a county level production loss, price decline, or combination of both.

Area Revenue Protection (ARP)

Covers against loss of revenue due to a county level production loss, price decline, or combination of both, and includes upside harvest price protection.

Whole Farm Revenue Protection (WFRP)

Provides risk management protection umbrella for all commodities on the farm under one insurance policy. This plan is tailored to specialty crops, organic commodities, or farms who market local.
